Top 10 Christmas Gift Wish List for 2010

This is my TOP 10 Christmas Gift Wish List for 2010 in no particular order. No one sponsored or gave me anything in order for me to write up this post. This is just some things I would love for Christmas or that I have and would like to recommend to you for Christmas! :)

Let's get the gadgets or cool electronic gifts out of the way...

I think it's pretty safe to say that my #1 gift request and recommendation would be an iPad. I know... that was an easy one! So if anyone would like to buy me one... hint, hint, hint... I wouldn't stop you!

The more I see the commercials for the XBOX 360 with Kinect... the more I'd like one! Seriously... anything where a gaming device cannot get accidentally thrown at the TV screen... it's gotta be good!

I am a life-long Nikon lover, you'd be hard pressed to convince me to switch. I do have a SONY pocket camera but for as for an SLR, I have been thinking of upgrading from my Nikon D40. When I saw the commercials for Nikon's newest Digital SLR camera, the D3100 I stated salivating. I would love to get more serious about my photography, as an amateur I've done 3 or 4 weddings and countless other events and family portraits. I think there's room for improvement... a better camera would be a great start!

Now for some small items that I have that you should consider for Stocking Stuffers!

Back in October I was introduced to a Calvin Klein fragrance that I really enjoy and have worn every day since. Beauty by Calvin Klein is truly my new favourite fragrance for 2010! I even love the feel of the bottle in my hand.

I was first introduced to the following product through my kid's school as they sell Mabel's Labels as part of their yearly fundraising campaigns.  I had the pleasure of meeting the creators of Mabel's Labels this year at both She's Connected and Blissdom Canada. I was so impressed not only by who they are as people, as businesswomen, but with their product as well. Mabel's Labels has every kind of label for every kind of occasion you could think of. From Allergy Labels to really cool and colourful Shoe Labels! I don't know how many "indoor" school shoes my kids have lost! At Blissdom Canada I received a combo pack which included personalized, sticky labels (which are dishwasher and microwave safe) and bag tags for myself and a personalized bag for each of my kids... and I have 4 of them! They would make excellent stocking stuffers for your kids too!

Playhouse Disney introduced me and my kids to a great new show starting in January 2011 called, "Stella and Sam" through a soft launch that I had the opportunity to be a part of. Last weekend I sat in a mall and read to children from a great book called, "Stella - Fairy of the Forest" My kids absolutely love the both the books and the about-to-be-released TV series. I would recommend the books for your kids. My 10 yr old daughter has a few of the "Sam" books by her beside and she won't let me give them away. I thought she'd be too old for them but clearly... she's not. All of the kids are looking forward to seeing the show on Playhouse Disney in the new year.

Kobo did give me one of their Kobo eReaders but that's not why I'm listing it in my Top 10 Christmas Wish List, they never asked me to do this or any kind of review for them. It's just that my kids fight over it! I chose the Pearlized Lilac model so that I could ensure my hubby would leave it alone and guess what... that doesn't stop him! He loves the portability, sleekness and the variety of books available. I love that it is a Canadian company that has come a long way in a short amount of time. Go to Chapter's and check one out for yourself. It's not a touch screen but for half the price of one that is... I don't mind having to use a control button.

list but these items stand out in my mind! :)

In October I won a great basket full of Smashbox Cosmetics . A Smashbox Makeup Artist touched up my face before the conference - You couldn't tell that I had been up since 4am and got caught in the door of the GO Train... In my goodie bag was one of their great new products, "Photo Finish Foundation Primer". I am recommending it to you because I actually use this product now every day and I truly love it. It's great makeup that doesn't smudge or fade. I tested its durability out at Blissdom Canada. The YummyMummyClub had a private party for a select few at the Body Blitz Spa. I refused to remove my makeup just to see how it would stand up to 2 hours in the healing waters, excessively hot steam room and sauna. Later that night, Tara from Tara's View of the World captured this photo...

Now you know why I love Smashbox Cosmetics - check out that eyeliner - it didn't move!!!

While I'm on a makeup kick... I also recently fell in love with the skin care product line from Mereadesso Women, Face & Neck Cleanser, Face & Neck Toning Gel and Beautiful Body Balm. I have been using this product for a month now and I am astonished by the results it has give me so far. My skin is so soft and smooth and feels supple. Not it's usual dry self, especially at this time of the year. It's more expensive than I would normally have spent but as I age... 40 is not too far away OK!! I know I need to go with quality - I only get one face! I love the special soft cloth that comes with the complete set. It's as soft as I'd use on my sunglasses. If my sunglasses are so precious... you'd think my face would demand as much special care!

and finally, I thought I'd throw in a DVD for #10...

If you haven't picked up a copy of, "How to Train Your Dragon" already... go out and get one. I loved that movie. My 4 kids and even my hubby loved that movie. I've watched it a good dozen times at home since buying the DVD. Now... if only I had a Blue-Ray DVD machine and a HDTV to watch it on!
