Elephoto Photo Books are Fabulous! Save & Win

In September of 2010 I was introduced to Elephoto, a 100% Canadian printing company, for the very first time. I put together a book from a trip to Myrtle Beach and loved it!! The colour was more vibrant than any other photo book I had ever put together, and trust me when I say, I've pretty much done them all!

I was ecstatic to be able to check them out again.

In May of this year, we took our kids to Disney World. I know I needed to get my photos from .jpgs to actual images we could really share with friends. A photographer friend of mine once said to me, "Don't let your kids grow up to be jpegs!" and she is absolutely right. In the digital age in which we live, it's so easy to keep them on our mobile phone or laptop, but what happens if those devices crash and take all our memories with them?!

At first I thought I'd try to do a scrapbook style photo book. So I started on the layout and uploaded the photos. There are four options for bringing in the photos you want for the book. Uploading them from your computer, Facebook, flickr, and Photobucket. The Facebook option was my very favourite.

I had already uploaded all the pictures from Florida that I loved to Facebook, so all I needed to do was give Elephoto.ca access to the Facebook album I wanted, click "Get Photos" and BAM! There were all the photos that I needed to use. I could either chose them one by one or click, "Auto fill" and have Elephoto do it for me.

After I played with the scrapbooking theme for a bit, I decided I wanted to change it to a more traditional photo book look.  There are fifteen themes to chose from, from Wedding to Baby and everything in between. I finally decided on the sleek, contemporary, with a black background in a 11x8.5 hardcover book.

It was so easy to maneuver through the Elephoto.ca site. I could place a photo, move it around, crop it, resize it, add more pictures, have them overlap, or change them out completely. Each page I could make totally different, depending on how many photos I wanted on that page. The layout options are more than plentiful.
