Beauty Bundle Giveaway, Just In Time For Graduation! | #PGmom

The graduation dresses have been out since Easter but it just hit me the other day... another wonderful group of teenagers (and yes College / University students too) are about to enter "the real world".

I remember getting ready with great nervousness and anticipation for the big High School grad party, all dolled up in shiny Forest Green taffeta... long sleeves with a big poof at the shoulders. I even had my shoes died Forest Green to match. My hair was curled and pulled into a side ponytail.... it was all the rage back then! It took me a long time to get all done up that night. I must have spent the entire day making sure I looked good, from head to toe.

The picture below is from a friend's graduation ceremony, I got all dazzled up for these boys... :) I'd say this would have been around 1988 or 1989. Yes, that's me in the middle...

oh to be 16 again...

So back to June of 1990... the limo pulled up, we all piled in. First to a backyard party a friend's parents were hosting and then onto the big city of Vancouver for a dinner and dance.

We felt so grown up!

It's hard to believe that was 23 years ago. Oy! Where has the time gone?

To celebrate all those Canadians graduating this month, I have a giveaway to share with one of my readers. The following is a beauty bundle giveaway from the kind folks at Procter and Gamble.

Let your natural beauty shine!

  1. I graduated about ten years ago I did the whole flat-ironed hair thing. I don't think I really dressed up, it wasn't that big a deal to me. Can't believe it was that long ago!

    1. At my graduation in 1987 I wore a scarlett o'hara type of dress, aquamarine blue with a HUGE hoop underneath of it. Strapless, and bows and ruffles all over the place, and my hair was waist length at the time, curled into ringlets that took the hairdresser HOURS to do, and tied back with a bow the colour of the dress.

  5. I didn't graduate! :-( I went back to college later and got my grade 12 but had no graduation cermony! :-( It would have been in the very early 80s (yes, I'm elderly) lol so I had almost a shaved head at that time and wore multiple earrings and crazy makeup. In other words, a hot mess haha
    thanks

  11. Ahh Graduation :-)
Our school had a unique dress code - girls wore white dresses and the boys were in suits lol I couldn't find a dress I liked so I finally convinced my Mom to make me one! The design was very "mid-summer night dreams", romantic and girly of course! It was awesome!

  12. My graduation was pretty low key. I remember wearing a champagne coloured dress, but we all had caps & gowns on anyway.
My hair was just regular - I'm a low maintenance kind of gal.

  18. On my graduation, I was actually sad at first, because when I putted my dress, I saw that we could see my toes, the way the dress had been adjusted, and that made me really sad hahaha! But my hair had been done so it was all good.

  30. I didn't graduate until 2 years ago at 38 yrs old so my hair wasn't that big ;) BUT had I graduated in 1991 it would have taken a whole bottle of AQUA NET to hold that sucker in place (hehe!) Ahhh how I miss Aqua Net, my hair was bullet proof!

  32. College graduation day was more memorable than high school grad because they called my name wrong!?! I stood there stunned and wouldn't move until they called my name correctly. My last name was "Andrews" and they called "Matthews"?!?! How the hell do you mess that up? Anyway, my dress was fab and so was my hair but I will NEVER forget that moment.

  33. It was so bad, I don't even have photos.. my parents never even took one photo. Ironic now as I am a photographer, but the dress was brown, so say no more!
