Did you know, one in five children in Canada are starting their day running on empty?!
Join the #Toonies4Tummies conversation online so we can change that headline! Let’s talk about the need and impact student nutrition programs have on our children. They should go to school hungry for knowledge, not hungry for food. Toonies for Tummies Ambassador, Tracy Moore from Cityline and myself (@ShashersLife) will be on Twitter February 1st at 9pm ET. RSVP below in order to be entered to win one of six $100 gift cards.
This program, brought to you by The Grocery Foundation, helps support school nutrition programs which are available to more than 800,000 children across Ontario. New for 2017, we’ve expanded the Toonies for Tummies program with the help of Save-on-Foods and The Breakfast Club of Canada to the provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.
This year our goal is to raise $850,000! How can you help?! Donate a toonie at more than 355 participating retailers in Ontario and at Save-on-Foods in western Canada or online between February 9-23, 2017. You will make a difference in the the lives of school-aged children in your community! 100% of monies raised go back in full to programs in the region(s) where they are collected. Track your donation on our Toonies for Tummies website.
RSVP for the #Toonies4Tummies Twitter Party if you wish to be entered to win a gift card in the provided link below by adding your Twitter username and link to your Twitter profile.
