A new year means turning over a new leaf for a lot of us. Read through to the bottom for information on a New Leaf Contest…
Did you make any New Year’s Resolutions? If you did… have you stuck to them? Or have they been forgotten already?
For 2017 I defined my resolutions around my “one-word”… that word is “heal.” My goal is to work on healing everything in my life; body, soul (mind, will, emotions) and spirit… along with finances and relationships…
When I announced my word on Facebook at the beginning of January, my oh-so-wise cousin had this to say to me, “HEAL – H for humility, E for encouragement, A for acceptance and L for love – not by might nor by power but thru the Holy Spirit, continue to walk in these and you are both healing and becoming healing to others; and remember it’s never done, never finished, but always progressing, from strength to strength.“
When we are healthy, we can become healing to others. So my first step is starting the day with a prayer of thankfulness, becoming more physically active and eating healthier. Every choice I make, every thought I let settle in my heart, and every morsel of food I put into my body needs to bring me back to that 2017 word… HEAL!
It’s not too late for you to choose your “one word” or make a list of things you want to change in your life this year. There’s an old saying… if you aim at nothing, you’ll hit nothing. There’s something very cathartic about setting a goal and it coming to pass.
